If you’re using Celcom wireless broadband, you should be well-aware of the 5GB data usage limit based on its fair usage policy. Though your 3G/HSDPA modem may have the capability of monitoring your data usage, it is often more accurate to check your usage via Celcom Online Customer Service. Apart from checking your bill, Celcom has actually include the section to check the status of your data usage.

Of course, the first thing you need to do is to login to Celcom Customer Service webpage, available at: http://www.celcom.com.my/ocs/ If you don’t have not signed up, then please do so. All you need is your I/C number and your phone number.

Once logged-in, go to My Account>Fair Usage Policy

You’ll be prompted with the explanation of the Fair Usage Policy with four buttons below it: Check Usage, Purchase Additional Data, View Purchase History and Help.

So click Check Usage to view your current data volume. Enter the Start Date and End Date of your billing cycle, then click Search. For your info, Celcom billing cycle is on 13th day of every month, meaning the data volume would be resetted on the 13th day.

You can then view your used volume in GB and of course other info such as allocated volume, throttled speed, date and usage. This feature comes is rather good as you can monitor your usage and help you decide whether you need to buy extra volume.

Currently, Celcom offers additional volume purchase at the rate of RM5 RM15 for 1GB or RM20 RM50 for 5GB. The purchased volume will be reflected in you next bill.

UPDATES:

The latest rate for purchase of additional data volume is RM15 for 1GB and RM50.00 for 5GB.

Please consult Celcom Careline regarding pro-rate. Your first bill will exceed the actual pricing of your package depending on the pro-rate (calculation from the day of activation to your actual bill cycle date).

im one of the celcom broadband user…been using it about a year plus..
recently this few months seems that the speed of this broadband unsteady n sometimes disconnect by itself…
tired of complaining to them..n each time they told me to set to the GPRS ..use it for 30mins or 1hours than change it to 3G again…
its still the same..for me its no point for me paying high bil for the service that i can get only GPRS speed…cant fully utilize the bil RM90+ for high speed 3G…

if im not mistaken nplzdo correct me if im wrong..is it celcom using the TM tower for transmit its signal…?
n if not mistaken n plz do correct me..is it the new broadband intown ” YES ”
    also sharing the same tower..?

n its seems that i noticed that since YES testing its service n currently just launch,
celcom broadband speed fluctuate unsteady n slow…

any comment about this n how to improve the celcom speed..im in klang valley..

can i sign up for both my phone number and my celcom broadband?

    • KeeMan, February 24, 2011 @ 4:05 pm Reply

I think so, but not advisable since you need to remove your sim card from your phone to the modem to use it, unless you’re using it on your phone itself of course.

After one weak already can’t see any moives. if i see moives connection very slow.I think one moive we want to see must wait two days. I can pay money. I was pay many time . Never change. always like this. SO BAD

    • KeeMan, May 13, 2011 @ 10:03 pm Reply

@ Sui Thang: You should be aware that this is not a Celcom page. I’m just blogging about it. 🙂 And please bear in mind that there is bandwidth cap to most wireless broadband not just Celcom. If you keep on watching movie, it’s normal that they throttle your speed.

Hi, can anyone tell me how to check the billing cycle date?

    • KeeMan, May 17, 2011 @ 2:48 pm Reply

      Hi,

Is that your first bill? If it’s not, check your bill for the date when it’s calculated. Else you’ll need to call Celcom Careline to check.
