Unlocked iPhone 4S Available on Apple Store Malaysia

Apple has made many Malaysians happy by allowing the purchase of iPhones via its Apple Store Malaysia without needing to be tied to any telcos. Apple fan can purchase 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S unlocked. iPhone 4S is available in Black and White from RM2199 (16GB). However, there is a limit of two units per customer. Interested? Good News: Google I/O 2012 Postponed but Extended to Three Days

Google has announced that its annual developer-focused conference for 2012 will be extended to three days as compared to two days in previous years. As announced on in their  +Google Developers page, Google is moving the conference to June 27-29, 2012. It will still take place at Moscone Center West in San Francisco. With the extension, it allows more opportunities for developers to meet up Google’s partners in the Developer Sandbox, and meet 1:1 with the engineers behind Google’s developer platforms and APIs. Google I/O was started in 2008. The “I” and “O” stand for “Innovation in the Open”, and input/output. The format of the event is similar to that of the Google Developer Day.  

Google Introduces Google+ Pages for Businesses and Brands

Similar to Facebook Page, Google has introduced its Google+ Pages to businesses and brands across the globe. As mentioned in their blog, Google stated “So far Google+ has focused on connecting people with other people. But we want to make sure you can build relationships with all the things you care about—from local businesses to global brands—so today we’re rolling out Google+ Pages worldwide.” While it looks similar to Facebook Page, Google+ Pages come with a greater integration with Google search engine as well as apps. One feature that stand out is the Direct Connect mechanism. Firefox 8 Released and Ready to be Downloaded via FTP

Firefox 8 will be officially released on November 8, 2011, however, as usual the Firefox team has released the latest version via its FTP severs, which is available here. One of the new features in Firefox 8 is the notification of third-party addons. Prior to Firefox 8, there is no proper checking of addons installation, as usually included in other browsers. The browser gives users more control over add-ons after upgrading to a new Firefox version. Users can now disable or enable individual add-ons on first start with Firefox suggesting add-ons that may not work due to incompatibilities. The Razr is Coming to Malaysia

For those of us who live in Malaysia, and who are looking to add some cell phone slimness to our country’s wireless home network, there’s some good news on the horizon: the Razr is coming. BrightStar, the mobile phone distributor, has announced that Motorola Mobility’s Droid Razr will be released in Malaysia sometime next month. While no specific date has yet been confirmed, the phone will hit stores in Singapore on November 11th, meaning the Malaysian buyers will probably see it retailed shortly thereafter. ASUS EeePad Transformer 2 (Prime) with NVIDIA Quad-core Tegra 3 Processor

ASUS chairman Johnny Shih has provided more information on the sequel to ASUS Transformer tablet, which is called as Transformer Prime (should have used Optimus! haha). The key to “Transformer 2” is its thinner design and of course the NVIDIA quad-core “Kal-El” Tegra 3 processor. ASUS’s next Android tablet is mere 8.3mm thin and with a 10.1-inch screen. It will also have the detachable plug-in keyboard that made the Transformer a unique product in the marketplace. In his interview with AllThingsD, Shih also indicated that the existing ASUS Tablets in the market could expect Ice Cream Sandwich on the by the end of the year.
