MyKouponz for Android: A Must-Have for Deals Lovers

Good news for shopping goers who wants to save more and get the best deals in town! Now you can download and take full use of a mobile app that allows you to locate and manage various discounts near you. The free app, MyKouponz is developed by Quantum Beez Sdn. Bhd. and is currently still in its infancy and only available for Android users (2.1 and above). The company however, claims that more features are  to be introduced in the near future and the app will be made available for other mobile operating systems.

I managed to test the app using my Samsung Galaxy S I and was quite satisfied with its features. The apps list the available discounts (coupons/vouchers) provided by their participating partners such as Dealmates.com.my, EveryDay.com.my, Funtora.com, Groupego.com.my, ILoveDiscounts.my, JackCow.com, Joydeals.com.my, Koupon.com.my, QPon.com.my, Webuy.com.my. When I tested this out, only two deal sites are available as shown the image below. Once you select a specific deal site, you can see the listed deals and filter them according to your preferred location.

The individual screen for each deal looks a bit cluttered though. The interface should have been made neater with not too many “button-like” images. The tabbed content can also be turned into icons, in which the info can be shown in separate screens rather than forcing the user to scroll from top to bottom.

Depending on the deal sites, you can buy the coupon or voucher using PayPal, E-Wallet and eBanking. If you don’t want to buy it, you can always share it with your friends via several social networks like Facebook and Twitter. For the time being, you need to register yourself with individual deal sites but the developer is looking into integrating these sites with a single sign-on via Facebook connect.  This is good since MyKouponz can be your all-in-one mobile coupon manager. Plus, the app comes with the map feature that allow you to visualise the location for each deal, making it easier to locate the shops or outlets.

Based on the developer’s info, the list of companies will be dynamically added and there is no need to download any patch every time a new company is added. They also plan to expand the coverage of deal sites to other countries apart from Malaysia such as Singapore and Indonesia.

Though still relatively new, MyKouponz is a useful app for deals lovers who wants to keep track of any available deal on the go easily. The developer should also look into ways to improve their interface to make it more user-friendly and appealing.

Get more info about MyKouponz and download it from Android Market. The app is free so you can always download it and try it out!

UPDATES: It’s also available for iPhone.
