Google has announced that its annual developer-focused conference for 2012 will be extended to three days as compared to two days in previous years. As announced on in their  +Google Developers page, Google is moving the conference to June 27-29, 2012. It will still take place at Moscone Center West in San Francisco.

With the extension, it allows more opportunities for developers to meet up Google’s partners in the Developer Sandbox, and meet 1:1 with the engineers behind Google’s developer platforms and APIs.

Google I/O was started in 2008. The “I” and “O” stand for “Innovation in the Open”, and input/output. The format of the event is similar to that of the Google Developer Day.
