Bad news to third-party websites, which have capitalised on Facebook growing netizen population via its Facebook Connect feature, as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the Facebook Connect brand would be eliminated as part of the launch of Open Graph. In his keynote at the Facebook’s F8 conference, Mark announced that the new Open Graph protocol aims to standardise the interactions between Facebook and other thrid parties website using the OAuth 2.0 standard.
Nevertheless, it is said that Open Graph protocol and API would provide greater flexibility for developer to integrate them with their web services.
