Facebook New Privacy Control Features

Hi Facebookers! Last couple of days ago, Facebook team made changes to several security and privacy features on the world’s top social networking site. It’s a good move  as there are more and more abusive uses of Facebook lately. Here are a few changes made: Privacy Settings Page If you go to Settings>Privacy Settings (Top Right), you’ll see a slightly more organised way of tweaking your privacy settings. From personal information to block list. Under profile information for example, you can set who can views every info stated on your profile. You can even customise the list of "Trusted Friends" to allow viewing of sensitive information. Status Postings Prior to this, it’s rather difficult to control who can view your status updates. Now Facebook makes…

Dell Adamo XPS: Slim and Superb

Want a laptop packed with all splendid features but don’t want to give way to heavy and bulky build? Well, say hi to Dell Adamo XPS, one of the thinnest laptops in the world (No!! It’s in fact the thinnest in the world now, up to this point). Launched not so long ago, this laptop is available in Malaysia via Dell online store. As Dell claimed, it is indeed a breath taker! A first look at Dell Adamo XPS will be an amazing sight to behold. Firstly, it boasts a superb design in which it’s super slim (thinner than Macbook Air!). It’s only 9.99mm thick and weighs merely 1.14kg! Imagine how they managed to cram everything in! Secondly, this superb laptop opens like no laptop…

Streamyx Super Upgrade Deals – Worth Your Money?

Streamyx rolled out its Super Upgrade deals last few weeks ago, in an attempt to increase its market share in the Malaysian broadband war. No doubt, Streamyx is still holding a large piece of the pie since a large area of Malaysia is still not well covered with other alternatives like WiMAX or 3.5G. So, for those loyal Streamyx subscribers who have been using its service for more than1 year, are the super upgrade deals worth your money? I’m going to do a comparison based on several popular packages. But before I go further, let me remind you that "kbps" and "Mbps" in Streamyx packages are referred to "kilobits per second" and "megabits per second" respectively and NOT "kilobytes" or "megabytes". In other words, if…

Teachers Beware: Facebook Student Stalkers Alert!

Alright! To all teachers who are happily showcasing their Facebook profiles out there, here is a reminder from the Ministry of Education Malaysia: YOUR STUDENTS ARE WATCHING YOU! Duh. Hahaha. Last week, I received a rather shocking news from my friend (who is a teacher in Perak) that out of nowhere, the students in his schools posted pictures of him on the school notice board! What kind of pictures? Oh well, those that were not supposed to be revealed in school of course. Like what? Oh come on, like drinking beer in the night club (like the example below- anonymous source via google) and puffing away happily.   Instead of taking action on the students (later identified as those trusted dearly by the teacher), the…

Announced on July 7, 2009, Google Chrome OS is meant for netbook users and will depend heavily on internet connection to run (since it’s meant for Cloud Computing anyway). It’s coded based on Linux and will continue to use Chrome web browser as its main interface. Like most netbook-based OS, Chrome OS boast super fast loading time. It will load the web browser seconds after you turn on your computer. It’s going to be light weight as most of the apps are ONLINE. Hence, this OS is really for those who spent most of their…
