Samsung Galaxy S3 has been launched in London yesterday (May 3, 2012), with several improvements as compared to its predecessors. Comes with 4.8” Super Amoled HD display and Exynos 4 Quad (1.4GHz)  processor, Samsung Galaxy S3 new look is slightly resembling Nexus S with its candy-bar shape. I don’t fancy the design though, to me it could have been designed with a sleeker look. The processor is said to allow faster and smooth running of applications under Android 4.0. One amazing thing about Samsung Galaxy S 3 is the new sensor that tracks your eyes. The screen would not dim or lock itself as long as your eyes are looking at the screen. Another feature is S-Voice, which is trying to emulate what Siri does on iPhone 4S, with slightly more control over your phone. The 8-Megapixel camera is also much improved from S2 but definitely not the best in the market. Samsung Galxaxy S3 comes in 16/32/64GB depending on model, plus expandable MicroSD card (up to 32GB), so you can have a maximum of 96GB storage on S3.

To me, it is a slight disappointment as I personally like the design look of S2. S3 looks a little too much like Nexus S. However, its features do exceed S2’s capability and Samsung has always been excellent in making the phone light, despite its larger size.

Availability in Malaysia

This phone is expected to reach Malaysia within a few weeks. The pricing should be almost the same as S2. And let’s wait for the telcos in Malaysia to tempt us with their packages.
