If you’re a music lover, then you don’t have to squeeze that extra MP3 player into your pocket when you have Samsung Galaxy S! It comes with a music player that has been “reskinned” or customised via the TouchWiz user interface! The audio quality is also superb. Well, let’s see how Samsung Galaxy S music player looks like.

The Music Player Interface – Vertical view

Generally, there are several tabs of sorting options on the interface, which you can customise via Settings. You can add or remove the tabs accordingly. Some of the sorting options are current playlist, all tracks, playlists and albums, artists and composers. The images can be replaced with album covers.

The music player also comes with equaliser presets and effects options. Pretty common for most music player. If you don’t want the effects, you can play songs under its digital 5.1 surround option, which is very nice!

The Music Player Interface – Landscape view

I like the landscape view very much. It makes navigating through the albums even easier and more interesting! The album view and song scrolling effects will indeed let you start showing it off to your friends! Haha.

Mini Interface on Screen-Locked Mode

Interestingly, if you are running the music player and the phone goes to “screen-locked mode”, there is a mini interface on top in which you can easily navigate through the songs without even “unlocking” your screen. Just drag the album down to view the mini interface. You can pause or skip the song.

The Audio Quality

One word! IMPRESSIVE. The audio is reasonably loud on the speaker and it’s almost flawless on headphones especially with digital 5.1 surround turned on. Indeed, this is where music comes to life! You can check out GSMARENA’s audio testing on several phones including Samsung Galaxy S.

Note: The music player supports MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/OGG/WMA/AMR-NB/AMR-WB/WAV/MID/AC3/IMY/FLAC/XM and yes I like Taylor Swift! LOL.
