In conjunction with theMPH-Alliance Bank National Short Story Prize 2009, MPH is organising a workshop at The Spring, Kuching on 31st January 2009 (10am-1pm). The workshop on "Improving Your Short Story" will be conducted by Robert Raymer, the author of Lovers and Strangers Revisited. The workshop aims at providing some guidelines for authors/writers especially beginners on how to improve your story right from the start! Yes, the beginning of a story is indeed important as it will shape the development of the story throughout.
So for all those writers out there, especially those who are going to submit an entry to the MPH-Alliance Bank National Short Story Prize 2009, don’t miss this golden opportunity to get hands-on guidance from Robert Raymer himself, as he’s one of the judges for the prize. The workshop is limited to first 25 people and it’s FREE Do contact MPH The Spring at 082-244 800 for registration. Don’t forget to bring the first two pages of your very own short story! Sadly, I couldn’t make it due to the extended Chinese New Year break in Penang.
More details on the workshop is available at MPH ONLINE. and Robert Raymer’s blog
