Looks like tablet war is getting hotter and hotter, and Sony has finally fully revealed its tablets, The Sony S and P, both with distinctive features that can tap into its own unique market segment – The Sony die-hard fans. This is why both tablets are build based on its Qriocity media distribution service. Both will come with Google’s Android 3 “Honeycomb” tablet software: the Tablet S with 3.1 and the Tablet P to follow with Android 3.2.
The S which is a full tablet offers a 9.4-inch IPS display with Sony TruBlack and Bravia technologies. It is available in 16GB and 32GB sizes of storage. Powered by Tegra 2, The S also comes with full-size SD memory card reader, Bluetooth, and a long-life battery. Through Bluetooth, the tablet can control and and interact with the PS3.
The P is a clamshell portable tablet that comes with two five-inch 1024 x 480 displays. The key to P is its size and it is said to be highly promoted as an e-book reader as well as Internet browsing device.
Pricing:
The Tablet S will go on sale in Europe from the end of September at a starting price of €479, depending on the configuration. The pocket-sized Tablet P will follow in November, starting at €599. The pricing is equivalent to iPad range.
