Samsung has announced the release of Samsung Galaxy Z, a “cheaper” version of Samsung Galaxy S II. After the splendid success of Galaxy S II (which reached 3 million units in 55 days), Samsung Galaxy Z offers almost the same features with a slightly cheaper price.
Samsung Galaxy Z comes with 4.2” screen and WVGA resolution. It is an SC-LCD rather than a SuperAMOLED as in S II. It is powered by a Tegra 2 but its 5MP camera is only capable of 720p video recording. The Z model comes in 8GB of built-in memory that is expandable through the microSD slot. The design of the phone is almost impressive, allowing users to “show it off” despite its cheaper price. Samsung Galaxy Z is said to be in the price range of RM1800 to RM1900 ( no contract).
There is still no news as to when it will arrive in Malaysia but do expect it to happen sooner since Samsung is really gearing up pace to introduce their phones into Malaysian market.
