Took me about 3 days to finish Mitch Albom&#8217;s <em><strong>The Five People You Meet in Heaven<\/strong><\/em>. As the title suggest, the novel describes the life in heaven, beyond the idealistic view of human beings. The novel begins\u00c2\u00a0at the end, the day when Eddie, 83-year-old maintenance man in an amusement park died unexpectedly, trying to rescue a young girl in harm&#8217;s way. Then, Eddie woke up in heaven, and were introduced to five people whom he had met during his life. One memorable quote from the first person he met, the Blue Man is:<\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\"><em>&#8220;Each of us was in your life for a reason. You may not have known the reason at the time, and that is what heaven is for. For understanding your life on earth&#8221;<\/em><\/font><\/p>\n<p>This book really touched me in the sense that it really makes\u00c2\u00a0you realise how important\u00c2\u00a0your live is. Every single thing that you do, every single person that you meet, and every step that\u00c2\u00a0you take on this planet, has its impact and reason. It reminds you of how the smallest of things in life can make a difference and how everything is somehow connected. I would recommend this book for all my friends and to everyone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Some of my favourite quotes from the books:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Some people think of Heaven as a Garden of Eden&#8230;But what is scenery without solace?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Lost love is still love, Eddie. It just takes a different form, that&#8217;s all. You can&#8217;t hold their hand&#8230; You can&#8217;t tousle their hair&#8230; But when those senses weaken another one comes to life&#8230; Memory&#8230; Memory becomes your partner. You hold it&#8230; you dance with it&#8230; Life has to end, Eddie&#8230; Love doesn&#8217;t.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Sometimes when you sacrifice something precious, you&#8217;re not really losing it.
