Resetting your phone is good when you are beginning to encounter a lot of unexpected problems with your phone. For Samsung Galaxy S, there are two ways to do this.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Please Note: All data will be deleted from the Samsung Galaxy S as a result of this procedure. This process does NOT delete data stored on the microSD card. We recommend backing up all of your personal data before proceeding.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Method 1: Via Android OS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Fom the main home screen, tap menu<\/li>\n<li>Tap Settings, then Privacy<\/li>\n<li>Tap Factory data reset<\/li>\n<li>Tap Reset phone<\/li>\n<li>Enter your password (if you have set one), then tap Yes to confirm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Method 2: Hard Reset<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li> Turn the power off. If your Samsung Galaxy S is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it<\/li>\n<li>Hold the Volume Down button<\/li>\n<li> Press and release the Power button<\/li>\n<li> You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock<\/li>\n<li> Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button<\/li>\n<li> Press and release the Power button<\/li>\n<li> Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you selected YES, all data including third-party applications will be deleted from the Samsung Galaxy S.
