Android 3.0 emphasises on offering a sleeker, friendlier user experience! Now, while most of us are looking forward to the new version, let’s see the so-called “leaked” details that have been reported immensely:

1. It will be released mid-October 2010. Just in time Black Friday and the holiday season rush.

2. Minimum Hardware requirements: 1Ghz CPU, 512MB RAM, 3.5″ displays and higher.

3. 1280×760 resolution available on screens 4″ or bigger.

4. Overhauled user interface.

5. Less reliance on third-party UI shells

What is creating the buzz is the report that suggests Android would require a 1 GHz processor, 512 MBs of RAM and a large touchscreen. While this is a very good move to enhance the mobile experience, it is also bad news to many devices like Motorola Droid or HTC’s line since they will not be able to meet the minimum requirements.

However, Dan Morrill, Android’s open source and compatibility tech lead, has been debunking this on Twitter.

“I love it when people just make stuff up and report it as news,”
“In summary, please remember that rumors are not official announcements. 🙂 ”

Of course, parts of the details may be true especially on the improved user interface in order to fight iOS4. Another improvement that is in the “oven” is the enhancement on Android Market, which is still lacking behind Apple Apps Store.

Well, what do you think?

There has been a lot of details surfacing on the latest version of Android OS (3.0 Gingerbread), which is said

[5
371,1079,212,1077,89,1078
post-2262","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-tech-web","tag-android","tag-android-3-0","tag-fake","tag-gingerbread","tag-google","tag-leaked-details
["GET
