Maybank2u (M2U) Malaysia has recently improved its mobile banking service (still in BETA stage though) by offering a new mobile site that allows you to perform several banking activities via your mobile phone. The good thing about this is that, you don’t need to download apps or use smart phone to browse the mobile version. It can be viewed by any mobile phone that support a minimum of GPRS connection with a mobile browser.<\/p>\n

Currently Maybank2u mobile version offers four main services: Account Summary (for checking your balance and transaction), Fund Transfers (to 3rd part accounts and GIRO interbank), Payments (for your registered bill) and View Rates (forex and deposit rates). <\/p>\n

Steps to log on<\/h4>\n

  1. Launch your Mobile Browser<\/li>\n
  2. Key in the URL – http:\/\/mobile.maybank2u.com.my <\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Click Login<\/li>\n
  4. Enter your existing Maybank2u.com Username and Password.<\/li>\n
  5. You are now logged in to perform your banking transactions!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    One thing to note is that this mobile website is only available for 3 months (starting from 19 January 2010). In other words, this is a trial period for M2U customers.<\/p>\n

    I have personally tried this for the last couple days and was very impressed with its speed and smooth of transaction. At the very least, I can check my account summary on the go, especially when I need to make sure I have received certain payments on time.<\/p>\n

    I have not fully check its security features. Will do so in the next couple of days but i do think M2U has done a great job on this.<\/p>\n
