Angry Birds maker Rovio Mobile is now agressively targetting China (and other Chinese populated markets) with its latest episode in Angry Birds Seasons – The Mooncake Festival. The Mooncake festival is celebrated in mid September or 12 September to be exact (the 15th day of the 8th month in Lunar Calendar) and the move by Rovio is warmly welcomed by many.
According to report, China is Rovio’s second largest market, so this is a push by Rovio to increase that market share. Rovio expects to go beyond 100 million downloads in China this year. You can download the game or update it from Apple AppStore and Android Market. And Happy Mooncake Festival to those celebrating!
And to celebrate this new release, a real Angry Birds Mooncakes are also introduced in China! 🙂 I reckon this will spread to other countries particularly Malaysia and Singapore.
