I think everyone is getting into the excitement of the launching of these two phones in Malaysia particularly those promotion carried out by Maxis. Samsung Galaxy S II will be launched this coming 22 June 2011 with special promotion from as low as RM799. Maxis has also announced that they will be bringing in HTC Sensation but no revelation of pricing and package plans yet. Here is a simple comparison chart of both phones.

The Comparison

The HTC Sensation recommended pricing is RM2299 while Samsung Galaxy S II’s price is RM2099. It’s interesting to see how HTC Sensation compete with Samsung Galaxy S II since both are almost offering the same specs. Samsung Galaxy S II is highly rated due to its Super AMOLED plus display and processor that brings much better performance than Sensation. Another plus point of Galaxy S II is its camera, which is what lacking in HTC Sensation. HTC Sensation only provides 1GB internal memory (though some countries are provided with 8GB on microSD), expandable up to 32GB while Samsung Galaxy S II provides 16 and 32 GB internal memory options (also expandable with microSD card).

So it’s pretty close between the two. It all goes down to your need and perhaps favoritism on the brand. Either one would be a perfect companion for your needs. However, if the price is higher than Samsung Galaxy S II, I foresee HTC Sensation to fall out.

What do you think?
