Contrary to their earlier statement via HTC UK Facebook Page, HTC Global (via Twitter) today announced that they will however introduced Gingerbread update for its HTC Desire model in the coming weeks. Due to memory issues, HTC said they will “cut select apps from the release.” The cut-down version is still a pleasing news to HTC Desire users.
To resolve Desires memory issue and enable the upgrade to Gingerbread, we will cut select apps from the release. Look for status updates starting next week. We apologize for any confusion.
Kudos to HTC for their quick reaction on customers’ feedback. Their quick decision making is earning a lot of positive PR for the company. Nevertheless, HTC Desire users still have to wait for its release.
