It’s not that frequent to have developer gathering in Malaysia and the recent DevFest Kuala Lumpur was one that attracted the attention of many. Nearly 1,000 developers attended the recent Google DevFest Kuala Lumpur to learn more about Google technologies and developer products, including making use of the opportunity to meet face to face with the Google developer advocates and engineers who work on them.
Co-organised by the Malaysian Google Technology User Group (GTUG) developer community, this year’s eventsaw almost double the number of participants from last year, reflecting the growing interest among the Malaysian developer community in opportunities in Android Market, HTML 5 and Chrome and Google Analytics.
Google’s developer efforts are designed to stimulate innovation across the web by using open standards and open source licenses to help developers build better applications for users. This is the second time the event is being held in Malaysia.
