Firefox 8 Released and Ready to be Downloaded via FTP

Firefox 8 will be officially released on November 8, 2011, however, as usual the Firefox team has released the latest version via its FTP severs, which is available here. One of the new features in Firefox 8 is the notification of third-party addons. Prior to Firefox 8, there is no proper checking of addons installation, as usually included in other browsers. The browser gives users more control over add-ons after upgrading to a new Firefox version. Users can now disable or enable individual add-ons on first start with Firefox suggesting add-ons that may not work due to incompatibilities.

The launch-up time for Firefox 8 has been further improved as well, with more support for HTML5 and CSS3. You can try download it and give it a try.

  • I do hate this kind of numbering ~ I expects that every time they released new version, there is a large difference between each version.. *sigh*
