Facebook New Content Sharing Box and Privacy Settings

Facebook has finally rolled out its new status and content sharing box to all its users. While some users may have seen it much earlier, I just got it early today. You’ll be prompted with a notification pop-up in the sharing box when you got it, which will explain to you what have been changed. There are essentially 3 changes made: 1. New tagging mechanism 2. Location sharing and 3. inline privacy selector.

With the changes, Facebook has also simplified the privacy settings for your account. It makes it easier to control your profile. The one I like is controlling who can tag you under “How Tags Work”. You can adjust your privacy setting via the top right drop down menu.

For more info on the new Sharing Box, please go to this page.
