Android Froyo 2.2.1 (DXJPE) Firmware Upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S

Samsung has released the latest Firmware upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 from Android Froyo version 2.2 to version 2.2.1. (DXJPE). I just managed to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy S yesterday, thanks to Adino for the good news! Haha. You still need to do the upgrade via Samsung Kies.

The first impression of the upgrade is the speed, the lag that sometimes occur in version 2.2 is gone. Browsing through the files and pictures take lesser time to load. Other notable changes are:

  • GPS issues fixed
  • Froyo Stability Improved
  • Smoother and better music playback
  • Enhanced browser
  • Improvements to Contacts, Keyboard and Phone dialer

An upgrade that you must have! Hopefully Samsung will release 2.3 update as well!

Wanna upgrade your Samsung Galaxy S to 2.2.1? Follow the steps given by Adino! (Thanks for sharing bro!)
