Terato Tech’s AIYO Magazine for iPad – More Than Meets the Eye!

Malaysia can now be proud of its first interactive magazine for iPad, uniquely called AIYO and developed by the multi-talented team at Terato Tech.  I love the fact that the name was derived from the pronunciation of i/o (the common short form for input and output) but with an added Malaysian taste! Right, we see Malaysians go “aiyo” all the time when encountering unexpected incidents and they should go “aiyo yo yo…” even more when they see the AIYO mag app on iPad.

I do not own an iPad but I was lucky enough to try out the AIYO mag via my friend’s. Of course, this gave my friend more reasons to tempt me to own one! Haha. AIYO is a monthly magazine that highlights mainly on lifestyle, gadgets, fresh talents and anything relevant in the tech and gadgets scenes especially in Malaysia. In terms of content, the quality is good and I must say being the first edition, one could easily go “wow” with what has been included in the mag. Of course, I reckon more content will be flowing in for the next edition!

Delivery wise, the AIYO mag is not just a digital copy of a magazine as we commonly see online (i.e. pdf version or even flash version). AIYO gives you more interactivity. What I like is the availability of the “super bar”.  A simple swipe upward, the bar will appear, providing easy navigation to pages in the magazine and of course the ability to comment on a page.

Well, enough said, you really got to try it out to experience it. The app is available on Apple App Store for FREE download. You can check out AiYO Mag official website for further info and yeah you can also contribute by sending in your articles.

So, don’t judge a book an app by its cover! There’s more than meets the eye!
