This is exclusively for Malaysians. Not a subscriber of Astro? Not having a decent internet connection for live streaming? Fear not, RTM is bringing you live World Cup matches via its TV1 and TV2 channels. Apart from live matches, there are also delayed matches as well. Not too bad for those who only have the free-to-air channels at home. This year, Media Prime group’s channels (TV3, NTV7, 8TV, and TV9) were not given the rights to air the World Cup channels due to limited budget.

Depending on the commentator, as listed in the schedule. Unfortunately, I think it would be in Malay.

they are not telecasting england vs. germany??? instead, i can see them running some boring show which i think nobody’s bothered to watch…. sometimes, i do really wonder where their intelligence is…

    • KeeMan, June 29, 2010 @ 12:18 pm Reply

Well…they think local shows should be prioritised. 😛

  • ann, June 28, 2010 @ 9:50 pm Reply

i watched delayed match england vs germany last nite. the female commentator pronounced michael belek…(ballack.)… hmmm wonder y using someone whos not into football as a commentator…

  • Melvin K, June 29, 2010 @ 7:25 pm Reply

RTM should be given an award for the worst commentators in the world. Can’t pronounce players names, make absolutely useless and redundant comments and extremely talented at just driving you up the wall

  • Sharlotte, July 3, 2010 @ 12:09 am Reply

it’s not showing at all!!!! sit not telling reasons why it’s not showing or when it will begins! feel very much betrayed!!!

  • Frust, July 3, 2010 @ 12:28 am Reply

Damn it!! delay is fine but please skip the Malay telling story..No need to read from the screen or reading from the paper..its wasting time.. Just show the game directly. Stupid!!

  • KeeMan, July 3, 2010 @ 12:32 am Reply

Oh well…what can I say! Next WorldCup, give it to Media Prima’s TVs

  • Daniel, July 3, 2010 @ 12:37 pm Reply

As national TV of Malaysia, Important matches like England Vs Germany & Brazil vs Netherland were covered two hours behind is totally unacceptable. I really feel that I should throw TV1 out of my Window.

  • ahboy, July 6, 2010 @ 10:06 pm Reply

Is tonight Germany and Spain? Which Channel and what time? I confuse with this tv1 and tv2 time-table already

    • KeeMan, July 6, 2010 @ 10:17 pm Reply

Germany versus Spain is on Thursday early morning (2.30a.m.) not today. It should be on TV1.

  • podolski10, July 7, 2010 @ 9:20 pm Reply

sure this morning spain vs germany in tv1?i dont want to miss this match…dont have astro…huhu

    • KeeMan, July 7, 2010 @ 9:33 pm Reply

Yup! Unless they make sudden changes.
