Believe it or not! Believe it! Apple has just announced that it would be selling the iPhone 4 contract free through the Singapore online Apple Store at  store.apple.com/sg from Friday, July 30. Not sure why, but it seems that you can get an iPhone 4 without having to commit to any telco on contract basis. In fact, the pricing is even more appealing! The 16GB model is only S$888 (about RM2,080) and the 32GB is S$1048 (about RM2,460), excluding the government service tax (GST). Since it’s contract free, these iPhone 4 from Singapore will most probably ended up more in MALAYSIA! Haha.

I’m not sure if Malaysians will get to buy the phone contract-free via Apple Store Malaysia as well. But since Digi and Maxis have created their “official page” for iPhone 4, it would be very unlikely. So, the telcos really need to offer something good to attract Apple fans to subscribe to their plans! Read the full press release below:

iPhone 4 Arrives in 17 More Countries This Friday

Pricing & Availability
iPhone 4 will be available for a suggested retail price of S$ 888 for the 16GB model and S$ 1048 for the 32GB model through Apple’s online store (http://store.apple.com/sg). A new iPhone 3GS 8GB model will be available for just S$ 748. iPhone 4 will roll out to many more countries later this year and Apple will announce availability and local pricing for these additional countries at a later date.
