ALERT: World Cup 2010 Betting is NOT Legalised in Malaysia

Received a few remarks from friends that they are receiving calls from anonymous people, asking them whether they would want to place bet on World Cup 2010 matches, claiming sternly that they are from legalised company, Ascot Sports. Well, obviously, it’s a SCAM to lure you into the illegal betting “arena”.

Though Ascot Sports (owned by Berjaya Group and sister company to SportsTOTO) was said to be given license for sports betting, it was NOT for the World Cup 2010. In fact, Ascot Sports have yet to materialised their betting system thus far, and the Prime Minister has even claimed to “retract” the license (if indeed it was already granted).

So, don’t be fooled and place bets with illegal betting “companies”. You might end up in trouble since they might just run away with your money! 🙂
