The Order of Chaos….

Well, as you can see, i’ve devoted my blog design of July to Harry Potter and Friends! Haha. It’s not just the hype surrounding the movie of The Order of the Phoenix, but also the release of Potter’s final and last book in the series. Now that most of you may have watched the film, i’m going to share some of my points of view regarding the movie, especially with close reference to the book.

For me, the movie is rather captivating with a lot of chaotic and thrilling moments. The order of phoenix showed how Harry is growing even more mature by not only facing the sudden urge for love, but also the challenges to face his own death. It’s rather astonishing to see how the actors in the movie have grown from young kids to lovely adolescents. Of course, one would never forget Harry’s first kiss with Cho. But if you’re expecting more magical stuff, you’ll be a bit disappointing. I gave 4 stars (our of 5) for this movie, mainly due to the magnificient arrangement of suspense. But on top of that, The Order of Phoenix has an important message to tell – the power of unity.

At the start of the school year, the Sorting Hat warns students that they need to stand together. Unfortunately, the House system at Hogwarts automatically divides students into four houses, mirroring the ideological split of the school’s four founders. Lord Voldemort preys on this internal splintering, as does the Ministry of Magic. Ultimately, Ministry employee Dolores Umbridge is able to use this petty competition to form an Inquisitorial Squad of students, which consistently thwarts Harry’s attempts to stop Voldemort, making his work far more difficult. Now more than ever, Hogwarts must stand together—not only to defeat Voldemort but to protect themselves against corrupt faculty members that threaten their education.

If you relate this to our daily life, it’s really happening. You see cliques in schools or even in universities. You’ll see how power corrupts in educational institutions and how people with powers are trying to eradicate those they think will harm their positions. Not to mention the hyprocrites around us who are constantly active in bringing us down. So, while you’re enjoying the movie…don’t forget to bring it back to reality!! EnjoY!!
