Back at Tanah Merah

Well, am now back in Tanah Merah for a 2-week CNY Break. Haha, this will be the longest CNY break ever! Had not celebrated CNY with my family and friends for the last 3 years ever since entering UNIMAS. It’s the year of Pig and since i was born in the year of Water Boar, i’ll be 24 this year. 🙂

Anyhow, spent 3 days at my friends’ place in Seberang Jaya, Penang. We were among the very few on the first AirAsia direct flight from Kuching to Penang (cost us only RM 85 each – RM19.99 fare + RM65.00 tax), and were welcomed at Bayan Lepas Airport like VIP, with “kompangs” and cultural show. Haha. It was a pleasant stay with constant food galore and CNY shopping. Haha. Then, took a 5-hour bus journey back to my hometown. Been a wonderful long journey though, as i get to know two Americans who were on their way to Kota Bharu (KB), pretty much due to the Visit Malaysia Year campaign on CNN. But why KB? They said it’s largely because of the condition in Kelantan, with less traffics and less concretes. Perhaps, they just want a peaceful and calm holiday, staying in the kampung. It’s nice actually, getting away from the busy life in the cities.
