Great news to those in Kuching who have been waiting for WiMAX (Worldwide Inter-operability for Microwave Access) service. REDtone International Bhd launched its Sarawak service on April 2, 2009, with four based stations. The base stations in Kuching are in Muara Tabuan, BDC Crystall, Jalan Pending and Bukit Djin. Finally, I managed to upgrade my Streamyx package to 1Mbps. It's faster than I expected, which took only 2 days. Why upgrade? Haha, partly due to this promotion done by TMNet, whereby I have to pay only extra RM1 for the first 3 months. Believe me, forget the fuss they are having in big cities, 1Mbps in my area is damn super duper fast. Torrent can max at 140KBps, sans tweaking or connection bo... more.
