Female Student Kicked Teacher

Watch the following video grabbed from Youtube. A sad situation, involving female student and a teacher in a secondary school. Of course, this is just one of the many unreported cases. Violence, sex, and indiscipline are all "polluting" our education system of late. So what went wrong? The system? The stakeholders - teachers, school, ministry? The parents? Coming up with a plan is not... more. -

Anwar + Sodomy = Reformasi?
5 CommentsPosted by KeeMan on July 2, 2008 under Current Issues
There is a sense of deja vu isn't it? It was almost 10 years ago when Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim (DSAI) was accused of sodomy and later proven not guilty. I still remember vividly how his first sodomy accusation shocked the nation and left Tun Dr. Mahathir "no choice" but to sack him from the cabinet. Of course, we know that during that period, Dr. M's relationship with his then deputy (... more.

Up, Up and Away….
2 CommentsPosted by KeeMan on June 5, 2008 under Current Issues
I guess, practically all Malaysians (especially from the low and middle income groups) are complaining now considering the fact that under Pak Lah's administration, the petrol price has increased 97.4% from RM1.37 in May 2004 to RM2.70 starting today (5th June 2008). Though the increase in fuel price is expected (no thanks to the sky rocking global oil price), but none has expected it to be so hig... more.

Tun Dr M’s voice: The Rule of Law
0 CommentsPosted by KeeMan on May 26, 2008 under Current Issues
Was reading Dr M's blog (www.chedet.com) this morning, and his article as cited below caught my attention. It's true that people with power have a higher chance of "escaping" the law. Of course, most countries like Malaysia are practising "rule by law" instead of "rule of law". The difference between "rule by law" and "rule of law" is important. Un... more.

by Jayapragas Gnaniah In response to Govt to have regulation for converts to inform family(The Star, 10 April 2008) Kudos to Pak Lah for thinking of the need for converts (to Islam) to inform their family members of their intentions to convert by filling-in a form or writing a letter. Remember when you were a child? Well, I’m sure you remember something about your childhood, so let me be a little more specific. Do you remember when you were a little kid, walking through a toy store with your parents, and you saw that GI Joe or Barbie Doll that you just had to have? Then, as you walked over to the next aisle with your parents, you realized that what you really want... more.

What if there were no Women in this world?

I guess the debate regarding which gender is better has been haunting human for a very very long time. In a popular belief, it was said that Adam got bored and asked God to create him a companion by offering parts of his body as sacrifice. Well, if i were Adam, i would have asked for a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 to avoid boredom, which might be a better choice :) . But whatever it is, i don't thi... more.

Flood Versus Election

Well, it's been yet another terrible "year-end period" for those living in states hit by extreme floods. Yeah, water, water everywhere. The rising death cases this year signifies how a lot of people are taking the natural disaster very lightly. Parents especially are allowing their small children to "play" and have their "a-la-songkran" celebration in the high rising water on the streets. Now, t... more.

Malaysia – Exam-Oriented Nation?

Whenever the word "kiasu" is mentioned, people will immediately think of Singapore and of course Singaporeans' all-must-win attitude. But hey, believe it or not, i think Malaysia is now overtaking our neigbour as far as the level of kiasuism is concern. First, we "build" our own cars, then we have the world's once tallest building. After that, we send our first "angkasawan" to ISS. But those are ... more.
