each drop a symphony of sound . . .

Evening Grey
Perched upon a tree in sway
The sky was turning evening grey
As it turned day
In the silent hush
I heard a little song thrush
Singing his flute like song
His music filled the air
Without a care
Red berries there
Beneath the unseen sun
He sang out loud
He sang out proud
He seemed to sing for fun
When suddenly from another tree
Another tune tranquillity

Yesterday I discovered kindness in myself.
Today i see how beautiful and soulful i am.
Yesterday i discovered kindness in humanity.
Today i see how meaningful and fruitful humanity is.Â
Simplicity, kindness
And forgiveness-
These three areÂ
The most powerful branches
Of my tree of life.

A journey with no applause

Muddied Water
There it was again,
the sound of fury
Echoing from the vast paddy field and
Pierced into my ears like Pok Su’s kris
Penetrating the innocent lime as
Sudden rush of fright hustled through my body
I was wet and nude, with my soggy dirty pals
All rushing to seek asylum from that fearful sound.
